We have put together a list of ways lash artists can survive the Christmas rush.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

First up and probably the most important policy for this season and the most feared, the cancellation and no show policy. 

It is a much talked about topic in online forums and amongst lash artists in general. The truth is, if you don’t have a cancellation policy you will risk clients not showing up to their appointments, resulting in a loss of money and your time, at one of the busiest times of the year. We are sure most of you have had to turn people away or have a waitlist as long as your arm, so no shows can be so frustrating. Christmas Gifts and Card’s

Do you give your clients gifts or cards? If not, we think you should. We don’t mean you need to go out and buy them their fav perfume or a bottle of the most expensive champagne, because 1. no ones got time for that 2. a money tree is not a real thing and 3. people don’t come to you for gifts they come to you for beautiful lashes. What we mean is give EVERY client a card and give your regular clients (those that have supported you throughout the year) a gift.  A box of chocolate or something more personalised will do the trick, you don’t need to spend much to thank someone. But by thanking your clients you will make them feel appreciated and they are more likely to continue to be a supporter of yours.

Down Time

Balancing work and life is one of the most difficult things to do when you are passionate about your work. Especially when a goal of your work is to create a better life for you and those around you. But saying “no” at Christmas is not a crime, your family and friends will thank you for it. AND you will perform much better when actually lashing.

Product Must-haves

Do not get caught short this festive period when suppliers are shut and you have a client coming in last minute because you couldn’t say “no”.

Re Book Appointments For January

Re booking will help reduce your one time only clients. FACT

When you have a client in for their lashes this December, re book them in for their infill for January. Re booking your clients means less time focusing on finding new clients meaning more time for customer service and will also take the stress off you in one of the more quieter months of the year. 

Don’t Drink and Lash

This could end in a lash disaster for you and your client! Save the drinking for your Downtime (which you will have as you are going to say “NO”)
