Online Lash Training FAQs
As Online Training is new to LashBase, we’ve put some questions together that have popped up in the process that we know you’ll want answers to. If you have any more questions, please email training@lashbase.co.uk and we will get the team to answer them for you!
Are the online courses accredited?
Yes, the courses are fully accredited by both ABT and Trusted Beauty Professionals.
Do I receive a certificate once I have passed?
Upon qualification, you’ll receive a Certificate of Completion, which allows you to obtain insurance and start offering treatments professionally.
How old do you have to be to enrol?
Our courses are open to anyone aged 16 and over.
Do I need insurance to complete the course?
You must have student insurance while completing your case studies. Providers like ABT Insurance offer suitable coverage.
What happens after I purchase the course?
After purchasing the course, you'll receive an email with access to our online education platform. Simply sign up to get started with your training.
Your training manual and kit will be posted to you, but you'll also receive a digital version (eManual) so you can begin studying right away.
Do I receive a training kit with my course?
Yes, you will. The kit has everything you need and is included in the cost of the course and worth over £110.
How long is the lash extension course?
You can study at your own pace, 24/7, fitting your training around work, childcare, or other commitments. You'll have access to the course for six months in this time you will need to complete 3 case studies.
How long do I have to complete my online course?
To complete the course, you'll need to submit three case studies, pass a final exam, and demonstrate your ability to apply lash extensions. We provide detailed guidance on how to do this within the course.
What support do I get on this course?
Support is one of our top priorities. We understand that starting out can feel overwhelming, which is why you’ll have access to a dedicated trainer throughout your course to guide and support you. Even after you’ve completed your training, we’re still here for you. Our team of customer advisors can assist with any product-related queries, and you’ll also be welcomed into our education community, where ongoing help, advice, and encouragement are always available.
How do I pass my course and can I fail?
You’ll have six months to complete and pass the course, and we’ll support you every step of the way to help you succeed. To qualify, you’ll need to submit three case studies, demonstrate that you can apply lash extensions safely and correctly, and pass a final exam.
Do I need a model?
In order to complete the course, you will need to submit three case studies. While we encourage using different models for each, we understand that this may not always be feasible, so you may wish to complete three case studies on one model.
How do I complete my case studies?
To complete your case studies, you’ll need to perform a full application on a model and provide several images along with a self-assessment of your work. Detailed examples of the required photos and guidance are included in your course.
Where can I get insurance after I have completed the course?
There are many providers available for your to obtain insurance from these include: ABT Insurance, Salon Gold and Professional Beauty Direct.
Can I have an extension if I can't finish it on time?
We require you to complete the course within six months because it's important to start applying your skills to retain the information effectively. Prolonging the process can lead to forgetting key concepts. In certain circumstances, we may offer extensions, but this will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. This can only be requested before the 6 months is complete.
Do I get lifetime access?
You’ll receive ongoing support from LashBase throughout your career as a lash artist. While course access is provided for six months, we offer multiple platforms where you can continue to receive help and guidance long after completing your training.
Do I have to attend in person?
Our courses are fully online, so you won’t need to attend in person.
I have ADHD, is the course easy to follow?
We understand that everyone learns differently, which is why we’ve designed the course to be clear, supportive, and easy to follow.
The content is broken down into manageable sections with step-by-step guidance, short videos, and helpful visuals.
You can go at your own pace, revisit lessons as often as you like, and learn in a way that suits you best.
Subtitles are available on all videos and can be turned on or off depending on your preference, making it ideal for visual learners or those who benefit from reading along.
We've also included progress tracking, and access to support whenever you need it, so you're never on your own.
