Trainer Spotlight: Ems Lash Therapy

Heyyyy! My name is Emma! I'm 19 and I've been a lash technician for 2 years and a lash educator for 2 months. I am a proud cat mum and I'm iced coffee obsessed. I work full time as a lash tech in my home salon space which is my pride and joy. I am lucky enough to have been a LashBase brand ambassador for a year now, which has been absolutely amazing!!

Ems Lash Academy

My training courses are carried out on a 1:1 basis because i really wanted to create a super personal and thorough course. I currently tech 2 courses:

  • Beginners classic and individual lash extensions course
  • Russian volume and hybrid hand made fans course

I am also working on creating a combination course which will be released in the new year!

What was the most valuable takeaway from the conference that you've applied/ will apply to your training business?

The definite highlight of the LashBase trainer conference was learning different methods for marketing myself and establishing my audience. I will definitely be taking this into account when advertising for my courses. I also learned the importance of finding your niche from the lash styling expose! This is something that i considered when structuring my courses. I will also be adding personalised touches to my kit such as sippy cups with my logo and note pads with my students names on!

What challenges have you faced in starting your own lash training business, and how have you overcome them?

Something that made me reconsider whether I should become a lash educator was definitely a lack of confidence and comparing myself to others too much! This is still something that I struggle with but I just like to remind myself how far I've come since I started out in my mums conservatory and took 5 hours to finish a full set!

How has attending the conference impacted your confidence as a lash trainer?

I would 100% say that I feel more confident in myself after the LashBase trainers conference. I came out of there feeling so inspired and ready to start this new chapter in my lash journey!

What are you most looking forward to in the future of your training business? and do you have any future goals?

I am most looking forward to seeing my students progress as new lash technicians and watching them flourish in the industry! My main concern is that they leave my course feeling as confident in themselves and their ability as possible.

What advice would you give to someone who is considering starting a lash training business?

I would tell anyone that is considering becoming a lash educator to go for it!!! It's such an exciting opportunity!
