Lash Lift and Brow Lamination Troubleshooting - Lifted. & Lifted. Pro
So you didn’t get the lift you wanted... it can be very disheartening, but there will be a reason. Let’s get into troubleshooting.
There are several factors that could be at play:
-
Was the solution applied evenly?
When using original Lifted. Or Lifted. Pro, use the placement guide below:
-
- For a soft lift, apply lifting solution 1mm below the apex.
- For a dramatic curl, go 1–2mm past the apex.
-
Was the correct shield shape and size used?
-
Were the lashes fully processed during Step 1?
Check Lash Readiness: Test the lashes by bending a single natural lash. If it bends into a U shape without resistance, the lashes are ready for the next step. This ensures optimal processing time. If it bends into a C shape and has some resistance, keep the solution on for a little longer but check every 30 seconds for readiness.
-
Was Step 2 left on long enough?
-
Did you take before and after photos to evaluate the results?
Keep in mind: clients with downward-growing lashes will usually have a more subtle result than those with naturally lifted lashes. Managing client expectations is key.
A successful lash lift depends on multiple factors and can be tricky to perfect at first, especially with challenging lashes. With practice and patience, you’ll master it.
The lashes won’t stay on the shield.
Thicker or downward-growing lashes can be more resistant, so there are a few ways you can tweak your treatment to make sure they do what they need to do.
In these cases:
- Reapply adhesive (liquid or balm) between steps if needed.
- Be patient while brushing lashes onto the shield. The liquid adhesive/ adhesive balm can take time to set, therefore, you may need to take your time and be patient.
- If a few lashes pop off, use Lifted. Lash Lift Covers or Lifted. Lifting and Lamination Wrap during both Steps 1 and 2 to keep them secure to the shield.
