New Trend Alert: Siren Eye Lashes
What are Siren Lashes?
The idea was born when we held the LashBase coffee meet up and Anna had a chat with Max (@85thelashgarage) about YY lashes. Max told Anna she calls her YY lash sets Mermaid lashes because the lashes look like mermaid tails, and Anna explained to Max how she likes to use YY lashes in the top layer for a soft wispy effect. From this conversation the idea was born, create an elongated wispy mapping with YY lashes for the ultimate Siren look!
What do you need to create the Siren look?
The main event of this lash look are the YY’s - they add texture and fluffiness to the set. The fans on the bottom layer create a dark lash line but the YY’s on the top make the set fluffy and slightly wispy.
You can use any type of fan for the bottom layer and any volume so feel free to customise it to your own style. The top layer YY lashes should be 1mm longer than the bottom layer, so you can create a soft wispy effect.
When it comes to mapping the lengths of your lashes, use extreme lengthening mapping (a cat eye lash map) to elongate the eyes, but also use stronger curls on the outer corner for a lift.
Why choose the Siren Lash Style?
This look is great for clients who want a soft wispy cat eye look. The quick and easy application of the YY’s can save you some time. YY’s are also known for giving great retention due to the larger surface area.
They are also suitable for both beginner and advanced lash techs - simply choose your lash map below and lash away! Make sure to tag us and LashBase Anna.
To sum it all up, this look is easy to apply yet it creates a very unique look which will help you stand out as a lash artist.
